I am currently undergoing a fairly large renovation at my house and I elected to replace the old cellulose insulation in the roof with glasswool insulation. Being kind to the poor builder who had to hang some new beams in the roof, I elected to remove the old fluffy cellulose before he started the job so that he didn’t choke! The images below are of the current ceiling, looking at the thermal pattern from no insulation. These were taken in the morning in Melbourne on a fairly mild day, and you can clearly see the missing insulation. The new insulation will be installed in a week, and I’ll post new images of the ceiling once that has come through. Fingers crossed we get a good install and the guys do a great job!
